Leonard Bernstein


Leonard Bernstein was a famous composer, conductor, and educator. He was assistant conductor for the New York Philharmonic, and became famous after doing an amazing job filling in for the primary conductor when he was sick. Bernstein also began a series of Young People’s Concerts. “Throughout his career he believed playing for young students was one of the most important things he could do…Bernstein also composed classical music, Broadway music, and jazz.
